Welcome to the USS Helvetia. The year is 2385, a time where the United Federation of Planets stands at a crossroads. The scars of the past still linger, but the mission of Starfleet endures: to seek out new life and new civilizations. As the Federation turns its gaze outward and Starfleet reverts to its roots of deep space exploration, the frontier calls again.

The USS Helvetia is an Intrepid class starship that has been assigned to the far reaches of Federation space. Her mission is to patrol and explore the regions along and beyond the Federation's borders, where the stars are unknown, diplomacy is fragile, and where the line between ally and adversary is often unclear. It is here where the Helvetia and her crew will be tested.

Aboard the Helvetia is a crew tasked with more than exploration alone. They will face first contact scenarios, navigate political tensions, respond to emerging threats, and uncover the mysteries that lie hidden in the depths of space. With limited support and vast distances separating them from not just home but also the nearest starship, success depends not only on advanced technology, but on teamwork, trust, and the choices they make.

The Helvetia is a sim focused on exploration of uncharted space and the unknown, character driven storytelling and crew development, diplomacy and moral challenges in a changing galaxy, and action and survival along a volatile frontier.

Whether you are a seasoned officer or new to Starfleet, there is a place for you aboard the Helvetia. Together, we will chart new worlds, face new challenges, and define what the next era of exploration truly means.

Utopia Planitia's gangway onto the USS Helvetia felt narrower and more confined than it needed to be. The commotion of people dressed in uniform, some not, but all jockeying for position in somewhat of a line or two, jostling around. It felt like middle school all over again; people pressed up against you in a toe to heel balancing act as someone from behind pushed forward abruptly.
